Week 17: 5 Lions Players Who Impressed

And just like that, the 2017 Detroit Lions season is over. Here are five players who impressed in their final game of the year:

1. LB Jarrad Davis

I have been down on Davis a lot this year but this was a great game. He lead the team in tackles with 12 and added his first career interception. He was beaten in coverage but was still there to make the play.

2. QB Matthew Stafford

Stafford had one of his best games of his career on Sunday. Golladay, Tate, and Jones all had 80-yards or more and a TD. Stafford ended the game with a 140 passer rating.

3. DE Ziggy Ansah

I said a long time ago Ziggy was done, and man did he prove me wrong in back to back weeks. After an amazing three sack performance last week, Ansah manages another three this week. Nine of his 12 sacks on the year came in three games, but maybe he is just finally healthy.

4. WR Marvin Jones

Jones has shown a massive leap in ability this year. He credited his offseason work with Randy Moss earlier this year and I hope he continues to work with him. Jones had four catches for 81-yards and a touchdown.

5. CB Darius Slay

Slay ended the season on an amazing note with another interception, solidifying him as the leader in the NFL this year. In my opinion, week in and week out, Slay has been the best CB in the league.

This week, no individual truly had a bad game in my opinion. Lions won in a blow out and most of Green Bay’s points came in garbage time.
