1. CB Darius Slay vs WR Larry Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald is a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer who is in his later years but still productive. He has revitalized his career after moving to the slot. Slay has been having a down year and needs to be on top of his game when he faces off against the tall, physical Fitzgerald.
2. DT Snacks Harrison vs RB David Johnson
David Johnson is one of the best running backs in the NFL. You may have forgotten about him this season because of the poor offensive line play in front of him. Johnson is still an elite back but he has no holes to run through, something Lions fans are very familiar with. Between the Cardinals offensive line not being able to open up lanes and Harrison’s ability to close any gap, Johnson is in for a long game.
3. WR Kenny Golladay vs CB Patrick Peterson
Golladay has been somewhat of a disappointment since losing his receiving partners — Tate and Jones. Back-to-back weeks, he’s either dropped a touchdown pass or could not get his feet down inbounds for the score. Golladay is going to have his toughest test of the year facing All-Pro corner Peterson.
4. LT Taylor Decker vs DE Chandler Jones
Decker has struggled in the blocking department this year, but he did catch a touchdown pass last week. Decker will face a tough challenge in Jones. Jones is third in the NFL twith 12 sacks. Decker needs to get back to the dominant lineman he was as a rookie because he so far is starting to remind me of Larry Warford, a player who peaked as a rookie and the Lions eventually moved on from.
5. Lions D-Line vs Cardinals O-Line
The Cardinals have several starters missing on their offensive line. The Lions need to take advantage and send more than four rushers on a obvious pass plays. I expect this to be a big game for Kennard and Ansah. Look for some blitzes and press coverage to not give Rosen extra time in the pocket.Follow here:
