Rookie WR Golladay catches a pair of TDs

The Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver, Kenny Golladay, continues to impress. Practice after practice, he has received raving reviews. Today’s game was no different. Golladay caught two touchdowns and had another contested first-down grab.

At halftime, the 6-foot-4 third rounder had accumulated 53-yards off his three catches. His first 27-yard TD catch was over rookie CB Quincy Wilson. Wilson was selected 46th overall by the Colts and was widely regarded as one of the better cover men. Basically, Golladay did not just torch any ol’ camp body.

All of Golladay’s catches were from QB Jake Rudock.

It’s hard not to believe the hype with the type of plays Golladay is making look routine. He has excelled not only in practice but now also in a game, albeit just preseason. No matter the case, I think it is fair to say that you should be very encouraged from what the Lions have in Golladay.
