According to Tom Pelissero, it appears that Detroit Lions seventh-round draft pick, FB Nick Bawden, has a torn ACL.
The #Lions fear rookie FB Nick Bawden suffered a torn ACL in practice today, source said. Happened in a special teams drill. Seventh-round pick’s season appears to be over.

Bawden was participating in a special teams drill when he went down. He was able to walk off the field which was encouraging, but the diagnosis is just the opposite.
If the report is true, it would end the fullback’s season before it even began. Injuries are never an easy pill to swallow– even more so on just the second day of mandatory minicamp.
The Lions do have converted linebacker, Nick Bellore, playing fullback as well. GM Bob Quinn emphasized improving the run game and this injury could be a big blow to the offensive makeover.
Maybe the MRI will come back with something unexpected, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
