UPDATE: Lions release TE Logan Thomas to make room for McKissic.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back was originally undrafted out of Arkansas State in 2016. The Atlanta Falcons scooped him up as an UDFA. Later his rookie season, he was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks where current Lions OC Darrell Bevell was the offensive coordinator.
Mckissic, 26, has 50 rushing attempts in his career for 197 yards and a touchdown. In the passing game, he’s accumulated 36 catches for 282 yards and two touchdowns.
After the Lions chose to only keep three true running backs on the roster, Mckissic will likely be behind the Johnson-duo and CJ Anderson.
