Preseason Week 4: 5 Lions Players To Watch

The Detroit Lions head into the last week of the preseason and it’s the roster bubble players time to make a name for themselves. Here are five names to watch.

1. RB James Williams

Williams just signed with the Lions a few days ago. The Lions are Williams’ third team this offseason after being an UDFA this past draft. He has a similar play style as former Lions RB Theo Riddick.

2. RB Justin Stockton

Stockton was cut last week just to end up resigning this week. He knows he’s on the bubble and the Lions are stacked at theRB position. He will need to put on a show for not only the Lions, but other teams to see as well.

3. QB Luis Perez

Newly signed QB Perez was the most talked about quarterback in the now folded AAF league. Perez made a name for himself around the league and is ready to throw his hat into the ring for the Lions backup role, or maybe a practice squad spot.

4. CB Amani Oruwariye

Oruwariye has had a rough go in the preseason so far this year. In game four, he should see a large amount of playing time to get him more use to the speed of NFL gameplay.

5. TE Issac Nauta

Nauta should see a fair amount of plying time with the Lions planning on resting most of their starters. With some added playing time, I’m hoping Nauta steps up and at least flashes what he can do. He is one of my personal favorite draft picks in this class and he has not been able to show what he can do as of yet.
