Per Tom Pelissero, the Detroit Lions will sign CB Josh Okonye, TE Marcus Lucas and WR Deontez Alexander. All three were brought in to rookie minicamp on a tryout basis (Lucas is not a rookie).
Other #Lions tryout signings include CB Josh Okonye and TE Marcus Lewis.

The team also announced that they have waived WR Kyle Lewis and waived-injured TE Brandon Barnes.
The 6-foot, 192-pound Okonye played his college ball at Purdue. He ran a 4.62 40-yard dash and had a 36-inch vertical at his Pro Day. Okonye transferred from Wake Forest for his senior year and did not record any career interceptions.
Alexander is a wideout from the small school of Franklin College who had a stellar Pro Day. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound receiver ran a 4.35 40-yard dash. He caught 33 TDs over his last two seasons.
Lucas was a wide receiver at Missouri but has taken on more of a tight end/H-back role at the next level. He actually is from the 2014 draft and has bounced around from many NFL practice squads. At 218-pounds, the veteran is a bit of a tweener. He did run a 4.60 40-yard dash at the combine a few years ago. Athleticism is on his side, but his size is not.
All are longshots to make the final roster, but obviously GM Bob Quinn liked what they brought to the table.
