Lions sign former Packers WR Geronimo Allison

The Detroit Lions have agreed to a contract with free agent wide receiver Geronimo Allison.

According to Ian Rapoport, it’s a one-year deal for $910K with a $137.5K signing bonus.

The 6-foot-3, 202-pounder was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2016 out of Illinois.

In his four-year career, he has accumulated 89 catches, 1,045 yards, and six touchdowns. The 26-year old started six games for the Packers in 2019 and has a total 14 starts since coming into the league. Running a 4.67-second 40-yard dash, Allison is not going to blow by any defender. He also has his fair share of drops.

At the very least, the semi-productive wideout will provide the Lions with some depth as an outside receiver.
