In the fifth round, with the 146th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions selected CB Amani Oruwariye out of Penn State.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound senior was a projected second round pick that slid way down the board.
In his career, he allowed a 66.6 passer rating, 106 tackles, eight interceptions, and 20 pass deflections. In 2018, he was first team All-B1G.
At the combine, he ran an impressive 4.47 40 yard dash, 36.5-inch vertical and 6.82-second three cone. The potential is there for Oruwariye to be the corner opposite of CB Darius Slay long term.
