Hyder’s exclusive rights tender will cost the Lions $630,000 but is not guaranteed.
Originally an undrafted free agent from Texas Tech, the 26-year old led the team in sacks (8) in his breakout 2016 season.
Playing the closed end and some 3-technique tackle in the old regime’s defensive scheme, his versatility will be a major bonus for HC Matt Patricia‘s multi-front system.
