Detroit Lions promote CB Cre’Von LeBlanc from practice squad, waive TE Hakeem Valles

The Detroit Lions have signed CB Cre’Von LeBlanc from their practice squad and waived TE Hakeem Valles in a corresponding move.

They also brought CB Dee Virgin back to the practice squad and cut the recently-signed safety, Rolan Milligan.

LeBlanc entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the New England Patriots in 2016 out of Florida Atlantic. He spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears.

This season, the athletic Valles had two catches for 11-yards in three games played. However, he was the fourth tight end on the roster and the Lions couldn’t afford to keep him with all of the injuries in the defensive backfield.
