Lions expected to bring DTs Johnathan Hankins and Alan Branch for visit

According to Field Yates, the Detroit Lions are reportedly bringing in a pair of defensive tackles, Johnathan Hankins and Alan Branch.

Both tackles would make perfect sense for HC Matt Patricia’s scheme. Hankins will be a bit more pricy, but he is also younger and PFF’s third best graded run stopping interior defender from last year. Given a three-year deal by the Indianapolis Colts a year ago, Hankins was a surprise cut this off-season.

Branch may be a familiar name to the Michigan folk as he played at the University of Michigan and was drafted in 2007. The 6-foot-6, 350-pound tank has had a steady career at nose tackle– most recently with the New England Patriots.
