Perkins was claimed by the Lions last month which resulted in the release of RB C.J. Anderson. Now, Perkins finds himself in a similar situation as the Lions added former Green Bay Packers running back, Carson.
Carson, 26, was recently released by the Packers in order for them to sign WR Ryan Grant. He spent most of the last two seasons on and off the Packers roster. The Cincinnati Bengals originally signed Carson as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Texas A&M in 2016. In his career, he only has six rushes for 14 yards.
Listed at 228-pounds, Carson will provide a bigger option out of the backfield if needed for the Lions.
