Detroit Lions waive WR Travis Fulgham, promote WR Tom Kennedy

The Detroit Lions announced that they have waived WR Travis Fulgham. He was a sixth round pick in this year’s draft but has not been active on game day yet this year. If he clears waivers, he will likely return to the practice squad at some point.

UPDATE: In a corresponding move, the Lions promoted WR Tom Kennedy from the practice squad.

Kennedy can serve as a potential slot replacement for WR Danny Amendola who is battling a chest injury. Amendola’s status for Sunday’s game is still uncertain, but calling up Kennedy doesn’t give much optimism.
