The Detroit Lions have waived CB Adairius Barnes.
A day after signing CB Raysean Pringle, GM Bob Quinn moved on from the one-time dark horse corner. Somewhat surprisingly, Barnes was able to stick to the 53-man roster after being acquired as an undrafted free agent in 2016.
Barnes, 23, played in a total of seven games and accumulated seven tackles–all in his rookie season. The third-year cover man out of Louisiana Tech has bounced on and off the regular roster and practice squad his entire career.
With how frequently he has signed and re-signed, who knows, he may be back at some point as a camp body.
