With the two earlier waiver wire additions, the Detroit Lions decided to part ways with C Leo Koloamatangi and OT Brian Mihalik.
Lions have been awarded OL Andrew Donnal (from Baltimore) and CB Dee Virgin (from Houston) via waivers.
Team waived C Leo Koloamatangi and T Brian Mihalik to make room on the 53-man roster.

Despite their release, both offensive linemen could wind up back on the Lions practice squad if they clear waivers. As of right now, there are two remaining openings.
GM Bob Quinn may place other players to fill in on the practice squad while both Mihalik and Koloamatangi go through the waiver period, but you have to imagine he would like to keep two players he felt were valuable enough for the original 53-man roster.
The Lions are now down to nine O-linemen after having 10 rostered yesterday.
