Detroit Lions sign DT Darius Kilgo, release two players

The Detroit Lions have signed free agent DT Darius Kilgo.

They also parted ways with RB Kerwynn Williams and T Jarron Jones.

Kilgo, 27, spent the 2018 with the Tennessee Titans. The 6-foot-3, 319-pound nose tackle totaled five tackles in 11 games with them. In his career, he has played in 29 games (zero starts) and 16 tackles.

Drafted by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Maryland, he has bounced around the league quite a bit — including practice squad stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans.

  • Denver Broncos (2015–2016)
  • New England Patriots (2016)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (2017)
  • Houston Texans (2018)
  • Tennessee Titans (2018)

Kilgo is likely just a depth piece and camp body.
