The Detroit Lions have announced that they have agreed to terms on a new contract with LB/S Miles Killebrew.
Full contract details were not disclosed.
Near the top of the NFL a season ago for total special teams tackles and the most for the Lions, he has accumulated 37 career special teams tackles since he was drafted in 2016.
After being drafted in the fourth round four years ago, he has appeared in 63 career games, with four starts, 56 total tackles, six pass defenses, and two interceptions.
Killebrew has played very sparingly on defense since his rookie year, but he is a key special teams contributor. Given the recent signings of S Jayron Kearse and CB Tony McRae, Killebrew is going to have some stiff competition for a pure specialist spot on the roster.
