The Detroit Lions have been quite quiet in the pre-free agency period. They have a chance to make a splash with a recently released cornerback, Richard Sherman.

Almost 30 years old and coming off an achilles injury, he does come with a couple concerns. On the positive side, the 6-foot-3 corner has been one of the best CBs in the NFL since he bursted onto the scene.
If GM Bob Quinn can somehow make this deal work, it instantly puts Sherman and Darius Slay in the conversation for the top corner duo in the league.
Ultimately, Quinn will have to determine if the cornerback position is more important than the other holes on the roster. Sherman still has plenty of suitors and is unlikely to come in at a bargain.
It appears that there are some conflicting reports. Maybe the wait-and-see approach will be the best bet to take.
No date for a #Lions visit has been scheduled, at this time, per Sherman.
